This Task Team was created not in alignment with the Sub-goals given by the UN as with the other Task Teams, but rather as support to all the Task Teams that fall within the SDG Working Group. The support offered will provide a platform to coordinate information within the Sector besides offering support (either directly or indirectly) in assisting the Sector achieve the SDG 2030 Objectives
Instead of referring to Global Indicators given by the UN, the Task Team – Sector Support & Coordination has 4 key functional areas for which this Task Team is responsible. These include:
- Communication with the Sector
- Supporting the Sector
- Reporting National progress towards achieving SDG6 by 2030
- General operational activities pertaining to the Task Team objective
